Explore the exciting world of texture in design during our two-day workshop with silversmith Taryn O'Gorman (Taryn O'Gorman Designs)!
Learn how to add texture to your pieces for added interest. We'll teach you how to use a rolling mill effectively and showcase its many possibilities and techniques.
During the workshop, you'll experiment with texture plates, paper cuts, leaves, and other materials using the rolling mill. You'll also get to try out laser texture papers with 20 unique designs. We'll show you how to use hammers, stamps, and punches for different textures, as well as how to corrugate metal for a 3D effect.
In the second class, you'll learn about various patinas and colours to enhance your designs. Finally, if time allows, you can turn your textured samples into pendants or earrings using provided jump rings and earring hooks.
All materials, including copper, brass, and sterling findings, are included.
