Tools & materials included | No experience necessary.
Metals: copper included - silver available for purchase.
Join our new teacher Peggy Logan to learn the traditional technique of enamelling. Enamelling is the beautiful art of fusing powdered glass onto metal to create colourful and imaginative jewellery designs.
In this fun, two-day workshop the fundamentals of enamelling on copper and silver will be covered.
The students will learn to utilize many of the techniques employed in making enamelled jewellery and bowls.
These techniques will range from using silver foils, sgraffito, underglazes, stencils, wet packing and painting with enamels.
Students will leave the class with a new set of skills as well as a complete simple pair of earrings or a pendant, plus sample tiles of the different techniques.
This course is required for attending the Intermediate Cloisonne’ Enamelling course coming in March.
